Over 40 Calypsonians rocked bumper crowds at Mas Camp & Stardom Tents on Friday & Saturday night1/23/2017 Lady V rocking the crowd at Stardom Tent Over forty (40) Calypsonians rocked bumper crowds at Mas camp and Stardom Tents on Friday night and Saturday night. Each tent featured over 20 calypsonians who performed several prolific songs, which presented great commentary, in often very humorous ways, on different current religious, social, cultural, economic and political issues, in well masked artistic renditions.
Q95 commentators Ossie Lewis and Andy Carter themselves put on a great show, and gave high marks to many of the writers, composers and producers, for a job well done on many of the songs and stage presentations. Many of the large numbers of Q95 listeners in Dominica, and even many more of those located worldwide, sent in their texts and WhatsApp messages throughout the nights during both shows, to assure Ossie and Andy that they were locked in and enjoying the crystal clear audio stream of the proceedings of the show, as well as their terrific commentary. Q95 also gives kudos to the organizers of Mas Camp and Stardom Tent, and also to the Masters of ceremonies of both shows, for their great efforts in putting on two superb and highly entertaining calypso shows. Q95fm Radio, the Big Station, looks forward to bring you more calypso on Wednesday night at Stardom Tent, on Friday night at Mas Camp, and at the highly anticipated National Calypso Quarter final competition on Saturday night, at the Newtown Savannah, when over thirty (30) calypsonians will take the stage to compete, but only twelve will be selected to move on to participate in the semi-finals.
