Parliament debates motion to approve supplementary estimates of expenditure for the year 2015/2016

​The second meeting of the second session of the Ninth Parliament under the Commonwealth of Dominica Constitution convened Wednesday morning at the House of Assembly.
The House of Assembly has been debating a motion to approve supplementary estimates of expenditure for the year 2015/2016 amounting to over EC $100 Million.
The estimates were presented before the parliament by PM Roosevelt Skerrit.
MP for the Portsmouth Constituency Ian Douglas offered his support to the supplementary estimates.
Douglas made mention of the DEXIA multi-purpose pack houses which are located in Goodwill and Glanvillia Portsmouth.
The Goodwill multi-purpose pack house was renovated to the tune of EC 1.3 million dollars and the Glanvilla Pack house was constructed in the sum of EC 3.1 million; while the remodelling works were also completed in the sum of $336,000 at both of these facilities.
