The Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries says it is continuing efforts at developing and implementing a National Agricultural Policy & Action Plan for Dominica. The second of three validation meetings to formulate a Draft Policy Framework and Action Plan got underway in Dominica Thursday. Meanwhile, Dominica’s Former President Eluid Williams has been entrusted as the consultant to undertake the project, and to ensure the completion of the policy. Williams told members of the media that his task is to develop the policy plan which will set up the roadmap for agriculture in Dominica for the next 10 years. Williams also outlines the critical areas of the draft plan, which he says has been designed in a manner, such that all stakeholders will take ownership of it.
