Pastor fears that some women may use proposed Sexual offences act maliciously to their advantage10/19/2016 Outspoken Pastor, Randy Rodney, says if the proposed Sexual offences act is passed as law some women may maliciously use this as their collateral for getting resources from powerful men in society. Rodney raises questions for the part of this act which allows women the full right to charge their husbands for rape once a report is made, he believes that this is unacceptable and needs to be reviewed. He is of the view that this law does not provide the proper reasoning to make an informed ruling. Additionally, Pastor Rodney says a letter has been written advising the head of Parliament to refrain from passing this law as more time to consult with religious leaders and the public is needed. Rodney says the letter has been written and signed by official religious leaders across Dominica and sent to the Head of Parliament early this morning.
