Outspoken Pastor, Randy Rodney, says he is disappointed with a statement made by Vice President of Dominica Association of Evangelical Churches, Reverend Arlington Wilson, following a meeting with PM Roosevelt Skerrit recently. Wilson said he believes the church has failed in providing proper guidelines in matters of deviant sexual behaviour stating that a unified front is needed in fighting this social ill. Pastor Rodney says it appears that Rev. Wilson must be conveniently asleep while work is being done by several churches and pastors, or he may be selectively blinded about the real issues in the society. Pastor Rodney added that child sexual abuse is a scourge which faces the Dominican society in ways not seen before. He says if this is not dealt with seriously, there will be an increase in mentally unstable people, frustrated youth and increased deviant behaviour. Meanwhile, Rodney wants all pastors and leaders to gather in a meeting carded for Monday March 14, 2016, to prepare a proper document to present to Dominica’s parliament, focused on guidance to lead politicians and parliamentarians in this jurisdiction.
