Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Helen Royer, is concerned about the negative behaviour being displayed by some nurses which she says tarnishes the image of the Ministry of Health as well as hospitals. She was speaking at a 2-day coaching and mentoring training workshop for nurses organized by the Ministry of Health Nursing Service Division. The Workshop which got underway Tuesday morning is being conducted at the APU Conference Room at the Princess Margaret Hospital. Royer told the opening ceremony of the workshop, the administrative level is looking at ways at ensuring the right persons are selected for the jobs. According to her it will not be business as usual, and nurses will be held accountable for their actions. Royer says the Ministry of Health has to look for ways to motivate their staff.
