Petite Savanne Residents may be resettled at Bellevue Chopin on 44.44 acres to be purchased by govt.
Residents of Petite Savanne are expected to be relocated soon as Government acquires 44.44 acres of land at Bellevue Chopin. During a site visit at a Bailey Bridge Wednesday, Prime Minister Skerrit said cabinet took the decision on Tuesday afternoon. This site is expected to be the new home for residents of Petite Savanne and Pichelin, who lost their homes during the passage of‘Erika’. PM Skerrit says they will commence work on the infrastructure in the coming weeks.
