Dominica’s Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit, says citizens are indifferent with regards to the challenges being faced by his administration. The PM made the remarks at a recent meeting by the National Emergency and Planning Organization (NEPO). Skerrit says disaster response is too costly for the state, and the monies being spent to rebuild the country post TS Erika could be used in other areas of the country’s economy. The PM says despite all that is being done, persons have no mercy for the government as they are still receiving requests for all sorts of things. Meanwhile, the PM says the NEPO office is critical to the state’s wellbeing.
As such he has given the assurance that his government will work closely with the ODM to ensure the smooth operations of the organization. Skerrit says legislation will be put in place to better assist the ODM with its day to day functions.

Is the force trained enough to investigate all that murders plaguing our nation? Is this the work of criminal elements deported from the U.S.?
