Popular Pastor and Former Manager of Sagicor Insurance, Randy Rodney, labels the second National Panel Discussion on Electoral Reform, which was organized by Civil society, as informative and professional. On Tuesday Civil Society organized a National Panel Discussion on the Electoral Process: the way forward. The group adequately sent official notice to all recognized Political Parties in Dominica to attend and to state their position on the matter in front of the general public, as a means of complete transparency and engagement. Rodney says he was completely disappointed when the announcement was made that the Dominica Labour Party refused to engage in the event organized by civil society, on such an important matter of national interest. To add insult to injury, reports confirm that the Labour Party executive did not even provide an Official response to the group, outlining the reasons why not one of the party’s 18-member executive could not attend the National Event Popular Pastor, Randy Rodney.
The Civil Society group now championing the cause for Electoral Reform in Dominica, are made up of, Dominican business owners, Pastors, Members of the clergy, and Union executive members.
