Portsmouth Magistrate rules that three Police Officers must stand trial for the 2014 murder of Joshua Etienne

Reports indicate that a Portsmouth Magistrate has found that there is a Prima facie case against Police Officers Martin Seaman, Jemma Louis and Devin Challenger, and as a result, they will be ordered to stand trial for the murder of Joshua Etienne, which occurred in 2014.
The Magistrate also ruled that Mr. Orlan Vigille will not have to stand tria,l and he has accordingly been discharged from the matter. Vigille was the driver of the vehicle and did not take part in any wrong behavior, as he was seen only to be following the command of his superior in driving.

​In 2015, one of the four police officers who were on remand in connection with the death of Joshua Etienne, was granted bail in the sum of $150,000 by High Court Judge Errol Thomas. Orlan Vigille appeared in court on Tuesday 14th April 2015.
