Portsmouth MP, Ian Douglas, says the Dominica Labour Party will never stop assisting the less fortunate on the island.
Douglas made these remarks at the launch of the DLP candidate for the June 7, by-election in Soufriere.
He says it is the duty of the government to assist its citizens.
Douglas says as long as he is a member of the ruling DLP, he will never apologize for helping the less fortunate.
Douglas also accused the Opposition United Workers Party of not liking the poor in Dominica.
