A pregnant woman is among four new cases of the Zika virus here.
The announcement was made in an official release of the Ministry of Health and Environment Friday. According to the release, the woman is not hospitalized at this time but she is being closely assessed and managed by a team of consultant/medical specialist doctors. The release states further "There is no evidence of any congenital malformation such as microcephaly of her unborn child at this time. She will be closely monitored and provided with the expert management, including Psychosocial Support which is available within the Ministry." The ministry confirms that all the other cases have not been hospitalized and have recovered well. They assured citizens that there is no need for alarm at this time. A total of five (5) cases have been confirmed here since the Ministry reported the first confirmed case on March 15th 2016.
