President of the IFDH is calling on overseas entrepreneurs to invest heavily in Dominica’s economy8/23/2016 President of the International Foundation for the Development of Haitians (IFDH), Petite Louis Acceus, wants overseas based entrepreneurs to invest in Dominica, to create additional employment opportunities for locals. He said “We have to tell people about Dominica, to come to invest in Dominica, that means when people from overseas come here to invest that is opportunity for Dominican people”.
Acceus continued, “If we get people who have money to come and invest, the good thing is, lights will pay, social security will pay, more people will be employed, and everybody will get a piece of that bread. Do not just wait on authority to do things for you, you have to do things for yourself”, he added. Acceus also encouraged Dominicans to assist the IFDH which was set up in 2012 following the massive earthquake which devastated Haiti in 2010. “We call on the public to continue to support the foundation. We are trying to put things in place where we can assist more Dominicans and Haitians. Whatever money is raised will be a benefit to Dominica, and as soon as the Dominican people do more for foundation, we will be able to do more for the country.” He stated.
