President to meet with Dominicans in St Maarten this week as part of independence celebrations10/11/2016 His Excellency Charles A. Savarin, President of the Commonwealth of Dominica is set to leave the State on Wednesday, 12th October 2016 for St. Maarten at the invitation of the Dominica Foundation of St. Maarten, to interact with and address the Dominican community resident in Dutch St. Maarten and French St. Martin.
This forms part of the activities planned by the Foundation in observation of the 38th Anniversary of Dominica’s Independence. His Excellency is scheduled to address the Dominican Community on Friday, 14th October 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at the Belair Community Centre. Whilst in St. Maarten, His Excellency will also pay courtesy calls on His Excellency Eugene Holiday, Governor of St. Maarten, The Honourable William Marlin, Prime Minister of St. Maarten, The Honourable President of the Collectivité, Mrs. Aline Hanson and The Prefétè, Mrs. Anne Laubie.s Acting in the Office of President during the absence of His Excellency is Mr. Conrad O. McIntyre until His Excellency’s scheduled return to Dominica on Sunday, 16th October 2016.
