Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit calls for the immediate resignation of Roseau south MP Joshua Francis.
Addressing Laborites at the celebrations of the recent DLP victory in the Soufriere by-election, the Prime Minister stated that the governing Dominica Labour Party is on a mission to win all 21 seats in the next general election.
Skerrit called on Francis to resign and make way for a by-election in the Roseau south constituency. He remarked that DLP’s Denise Charles capturing the Soufriere Seat was a message to the UWP, that the DLP is the superior party to lead Dominica.
Meanwhile, Opposition Leader Lennox Linton responded to the Prime Minister stating that the Prime Minister after speaking to Mr. Francis on multiple occasions should know his position on resignation.
The opposition leader stated that there is nothing in the constitution which commands this action therefore; Mr Francis is free to resign as Mr. Pinard did.
