Prime Minister Skerrit expresses Dominica's solidarity with the Cuban Revolution in a visit to Cuba11/30/2016 Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has expressed Dominica's solidarity with the Cuban Revolution. He arrived in Cuba on the evening of Monday 28th November 2016. Skerrit along with several other heads of Caricom, visited the Spanish speaking Caribbean island, to pay their respect to the late Cuban President Fidel Castro, following his recent passing. Before travelling in Cuba, Mr Skerrit stopped in Venezuela, to attend the funeral of Venezuelan Ambassador Dr Bernardo Alvarez, the former Executive Secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Americas(ALBA). Dr Alvarez was reportedly instrumental in both ALBA and the Energy agreement Petro Caribe. He died last Friday November 25.
