World Rivers Day will be celebrated in Dominica on 29th September 2019. Speaking to Q95 news, Public Relations Officer for the Bense, Anse De Mai, Anse Soldat, Hampstead Community Group, Jacqueline Douglas, announced the list of Activities to be undertaken on Sunday, from 12PM to 7PM. Patrons are expected to attend in large numbers to support what it is described as the “Nature Isle River Festival.” Public Relations Officer for Bense, Anse De Mai, Anse Soldat, Hampstead Community Group, Jacqueline Douglas Meantime, Head of the Bense, Anse De Mai, Anse Soldat, Hampstead Community Group and Catholic Priest, Fr. Franklin Cuffy, has revealed the origin of the famed Titiwi Festival. In an interview with Q95 news on 26th September 2019, Cuffy said the Titiwi Festival has taken a slightly different route than was originally conceptualized, however, the Festival to celebrate World Rivers Day on Sunday 29th September 2019, will focus on the importance of rivers at Hampstead.
