Promoter Henley & Partners express concern over the CBS 60 Minutes report on Caribbean CBI programs1/13/2017 Following a report in a televised CBS’ 60 Minutes program in the US, which featured an investigation into the CBI program in the Caribbean, the firm of Henley & Partners which is said to be a global promoter of the CBI program, expressed concerns about what they described as the one-sided image that the 60 Minutes report painted of Caribbean Citizenship by Investment (CBI) programs. In a press release, the firm denied that the program poses a security threat as was suggested in the CBS TV program, saying the Caribbean citizenship programs are generally very well run. Speaking on a local media program earlier today, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit said the firm recognized the potential danger and harm that the CBS’ 60 Minutes program could cause to the CBI program in the Caribbean, and sought to distance itself from the general tone of the program aired on Sunday 1st January 2017. He stated that Dominicans at home and abroad should take note that the Leader of the Opposition, is the only one who is continuing to defend the Anti-Caribbean program. The prime minister went on to question where does the opposition leader’s loyalty lie.
