Promoter 'Tilly' Thomas claims major loss as Police allegedly revoked his permit at ‘Wet Fet’ event2/1/2016 Promoter Hilary 'Tilly' Thomas claims he suffered a major financial loss, as Police allegedly revoked his permit during his ‘Wet Fet’ event over the weekend. Organizer of the Wet Fete 2016 event, Hilary 'Tilly' Thomas, and Patrons and alike, were reportedly left disappointed and in disbelief, when the event was stopped by law enforcement officials well before its promoted end time. Entry tickets and advertisements had indicated that the event would for the first time take on a new twist with a double event, running from 8pm Saturday January 30th until 12pm Sunday January 31st 2016. However, the show was stopped by police some time about 10am Sunday. Speaking on Q95's Hot Seat show this morning, Thomas said he was told by police officers on the scene, that the Commissioner of police had revoked his license for the event to go until 12pm. With the event ending well before the promoted time, patrons turned on the promoter demanding refunds of their monies paid for the event.
Thomas says he will be seeking legal advice to take the matter further. "Somebody have to pay for that" added Thomas.
