Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Helen Royer, says having a state of the art hospital is not enough, and is urging nurses to provide proper service to their patients in an effort to improve the country's health sector. Royer was addressing the opening ceremony of a two day coaching and mentoring workshop for nurses organized by the Ministry of Health Nursing Service Division. The workshop was aimed at improving the professional practice, overall moral and public image of the nursing service. And Royer admonished the nurses to not allow personal feelings to get in the way of the quality of service they provide. Royer is also advising nurses to treat patients' and their families with sensitivity , and is also encouraging the mentors to focus on areas of weaknesses with the aim of refining the attitudes of the nurses.
