The Ross University School of Medicine has funded a new kitchen and dining area for the Savanne Paille Primary School.
A handing over ceremony was conducted on Monday May 30th 2016. The University sponsored $68,589.00 for the construction and an additional $ 2,885 for electrical work on the facility. Janet Victor, spearheaded the project, she is also the Leader for the school’s Parent Teachers Association. Senior Associate Dean at Ross University, Dr. Stanley White, told media that this project is an example of the special partnership between the University and the Commonwealth of Dominica over the past 38 years. “ We have developed over those years an active outreach program and have a proud record of donations to a wide variety of organizations across the island including schools, dance, theatre and other cultural and community groups, just to name a few" said Dr. White. He added that Ross University will always endeavor to do well by doing good in the community.”
