Salisbury MP concerned about the allocation of markets by the Ministry of Agriculture for farmers
Salisbury MP, Hector John, is expressing concern over the allocation of markets by the Ministry of Agriculture, for produce from the plantlets which were distributed to farmers around the country.
Hector laments that last year farmers were successful in harvesting bananas free form the black sigatoka disease, however, he says no market has been made available for those produce and as a result farmers were left with no choice but to give away their produce while the rest spoilt.
John is calling for better markets and equitable management of the distribution of agricultural resources to farmers here.
