SDA church hosts Community Health Expo this weekend

​A Healthy You. A Better You! This is the theme for the Seventh-day Adventist Church Community Health Expo to be hosted on Sunday, September 11 at the Lindo Park Savannah. September is Health & Wellness Month and a key part of the mission of the SDA church is to promote health and wellbeing.
The church says it recognizes that non-communicable disease is a major threat to the country’s productive sector therefore the purpose of the Health Expo is to instruct members of the public on the prevention of and recovery from the effects of chronic non-communicable diseases.
According to a release, this will be facilitated through health seminars, instruction in meal preparation, and other lifestyle interventions.  In addition, health checks will be conducted and health advice will be provided by health professionals from across the country. In addition, wholesome and appetizing foods will be displayed and available for consumption.
