Senator Fontaine not happy with recent ‘Sousey Sel’statement made by Baroness Patricia Scotland

Senator Dr. Thompson Fountainis not happy with the statement madeby newly elected Commonwealth Secretary General -Elect, Baroness Patricia Scotland, in her official address at the renaming ceremony of the Vielle Case Primary School. That Ceremony which was held in her Honor.
 
Fountain argues that the now famous phrase, ‘Sousey Sel’ which means, ‘suck salt,’ is extremely offensive to Dominicans. As the current situation in Dominica is one of suffering and hardship at this time. He says the country is in dire need of reconstruction to its infrastructure,as well as direct private sector investments by local, regional and international investors, so as to increase employment opportunities in Dominica.
 
The senator noted that the Baroness spoke those words, although she aught to know, that the Majority of Dominicans are struggling, and Dominica’s economy is in bad shape. Here is Fountain talking further on the matter:
