Senator Fontaine rejects PM’s excuse for appointing arrested Nigerian Ex-Minister Trade Commissioner12/24/2015 Senator, Thompson Fountain says he supports the statements of Leader of the United Workers Party, Lennox Linton, that the Prime Minister’s explanation of the approach taken to appoint Mrs. Diezani Alison – Madueke, as Trade & investment commissioner for the Commonwealth of Dominica. He is of the view that no due diligence was done.
Fountain says, there is no way that this appointment was done with due diligence, when a few months before her appointment as Dominica’s Trade & Investment Commissioner, she was already under investigation for fraud, after police found over 700 Million dollars at her residence.Here is Fountain expounding on the matter: CLIP: Meanwhile, Senator Thompson Fountain says he stands firm on his point, that there was absolutely no way the DLP Administration could not have known that their appointed Trade & Investment Commissioner, Mrs. Diezani Alison–Madueke, who is also an Ex-Nigerian Petroleum Minister, was involved in such high level corruption, when over 700 million dollars was found by authorities at Madueke’s residence in May 2015.
