Silver Lake fire affected families engaging in crisis recovery training geared at expressing emotions

​Families of the Silver Lake community are now engaging in crisis recovery training sessions, geared at expressing their emotions following the Boxing Day fire.
 
The training program will be conducted by Dominican born Criminologist & Sociologist Dr Peter St Jean.
 
The formal sessions will end on Friday, while a Family Fun day will be held on Saturday, to climax the entire event.
 
St Jean says the families of Silver lake will be taught techniques in order to better navigate in a situation of crisis.

​Meantime Dr St Jean says there are many lessons to be learnt from the fire which happened at Silver Lake.
 
He says some of the family members are experiencing this loss for the second time, and there is a concern about the lack of fire hydrants in the area.
