Six to vie for Madame Wob Dwiyet
Six ladies will vie for the title of Madam Wob Dwiyet at a pageant to be held at the Arawak House of Culture on Thursday October 20, 2016 from 8pm.
The contestants are Huguette St.Hilaire of Goodwill, Stephanie Bellot Sorhaindo of Grand Bay, Theresa Honore of Portsmouth, Magdalene Joseph of Grand Bay, Theresa Anthony LaPinard and Claudette McIntyre of Trafalgar.
The Madam Wob Dwiyet Show has been described by organizers as a very popular and highly entertaining event.
The reigning Madam Wob Dwiyet, Gweneth Lazare, of Grand Fond will make her final walk and sash the winner at the pageant.
The show is presented by the Division of Culture and the National Cultural Council.
