Social Media Reports allege 2 Dominican women amassing significant wealth in offshore accounts1/4/2016 Social Media Reports allege that two (2)privileged Dominican women are amassing significant wealth in overseas accounts, without any obviously visible signs as to how they are amassing such wealth. The allegation is thatboth of them are involved in offshore companies that are handling large sums of money, about which some are raising very serious questions.
This comes on the heels of UWP Leader Lennox Linton sayingthatDominicans are generally not benefiting from the DLP Administration’s CBI Program, in the absence of real investments coming into the country. He says Dominicans are however reluctant to call on the Prime Minister to give a proper account of what is happening to the funds that are generated from passport sales, especially in light of his affiliation with individuals who are now under investigation for corruption, by law enforcement in the US and in Nigeria. Reports allege that somepersons whom Prime Minister Skerrit has granted Citizenship and diplomatic immunity, have been arrested, and are under investigation by law enforcement officers overseas, andcurrently, at least two such individuals are presently under investigation and may be facing criminal charges in court in the United States. Linton stated that Prime Minister Skerrit must explain what is going on to the Dominican people, and must say why he made Dominican Diplomatic Passports available to these individuals. He also wants the prime minister to say precisely what due diligence was done, when and by whom, and what was the result of such due diligence. Linton also wants the DLP administration to say who is benefiting from the CBI Programme, because Dominicans have not seen any significant investments from the CBI programme to date. CLIP:
