Social Services Ministry through Child Abuse Prevention Unit continues to celebrate Children’s Day
Dominica continues to celebrate children’s day as the Ministry of Social Services through the Child Abuse Prevention Unit and UNICEF holds phase 2 of the training Child Protection in Sports for creating awareness about child abuse, child care and protection in Dominica.
According to a release, the training will be done with Physical Education Teachers and Cricket Coaches on the island this Thursday, November 24, from 8:30am at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium conference room, forming part of the activities for Universal Children’s Day 2016.
Children’s day is celebrated on November 20 annually in hopes of promoting international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children's welfare. It is up to everyone including children themselves to play a role in making Universal Children's Day relevant for their societies, communities & nations.
