Former Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Gene Pestaina is demanding that pension funds due to him by the state, be made available to him.
In an exclusive interview with Journalist Carlisle Jno Baptiste, Pestaina says he has written several letters to the Government, in a bid to obtain his pension after over 40 years of public service.
He says it appears that those letters have been brushed under the carpet. Pestaina, who is also a former police officer, demitted the office of DPP in 2013. The Former DPP disclosed in the interview, that he is terminally ill and he needs these monies to meet his day to day expenses.
"I am surviving off the pittance remaining from my savings ... my bills are outstanding" said Pestaina.
