The Government of Dominica says it is considering a helicopter ambulance service for the island
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit hopes for a helicopter ambulance service in Dominica as a complement to the new national hospital.
Speaking at the Ground Breaking Ceremony for the construction of the new national hospital, Mr Skerrit stated that due to the geographical terrain of Dominica, introducing a helicopter ambulatory service would be a benefit, as it would minimize emergency response times.
The prime minister went on to say that as in most things, despite the government’s determination for this service, the road to this stage will require time and resources to fully implement the service.
