The VAT De-Registration process has begun in accordance with the 2016/2017 budget presentation
The VAT De-Registration process begins as promised in the 2016/17 budget presentation.
In his budget presentation speech on July 29, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit announced that Government increased the VAT registration threshold to $250,000 per annum, for all categories of business, effective 1st September, 2016.
Inland Revenue Officer Ian-Michael Anthony, stated that the process has begun, and reminds taxpayers that upon completion of the de-registration process, they are to return the VAT certificate.
