This issue of 1.2 billion dollars is compounded with a government that has mismanaged our country & almost every key aspect of our society, and now is the time for action, says UWP deputy leader, Joshua Francis. The United Workers Party has been pushing for accountability of the people’s purse, for years now, well before and ever since the 2019/20 national budget revealed that 1.2-billion-dollars was unaccounted for, in the national budget. A deadline of September 20, 2019 has been put forth by opposition leader and leader of the UWP team Dominica, Lennox Linton, for the explanation of the missing funds. Prior to this, the UWP deputy leader revealed flaws in the current governing system, that if perpetuated would only help further cripple the country. Deputy leader of the UWP Joshua Francis. Meantime, the leader of the UWP Lennox Linton says the deadline has passed and as a result the team has put in place and engaged a number of strategic plans to ensure that the DLP government provide an explanation for missing funds.
