Three .45 pistols have allegedly disappeared at Police Headquarters in Roseau, and investigations are said to have begun into the matter.
The three .45 pistols reportedly belong to the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force. According to reports, no one appears to be willing or prepared to talk about the sudden disappearance of the pistols. An anonymous source simply said, “All I can say is that an investigation is now underway, and someone from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) is leading the investigations”. The source disclosed that the situation is now “tense” at police headquarters, as the Police Chief, Daniel Carbon, has vowed to “get to the bottom of the matter and recover the missing firearms, which have now been deemed to be stolen.” “Everybody is tense and saying nothing….it is very uncomfortable in Police Headquarters,” the source said. Police Chief Daniel Carbon was not available Carbon for any comment on the matter. Firearms have gone missing at Police Headquarters in the past.
