Dominica’s Tourism Minister, Senator Robert Tonge, has described as appropriate the first Caribbean Aviation Meet up Conference which is being held in Dominica. The 3-day conference which is being organized by the Ministry of tourism and Urban Renewal and Discover Dominica Authority got underway Tuesday at the Fort Young Hotel. Tonge says his ministry is leading the charge to addressing the issue of air access into Dominica. The Caribbean Aviation Meet up is made up of well thought out program sessions and affords generous opportunities for dialogue among professionals locally and overseas based. Most of the conference programs are discussions on changes for improved airlift in the Caribbean and its impact on tourism and the economy. It also provides impetus for new business development and industry investment. The three day program includes a wide range of topics such as regional airlines, route and airport development, airlift impact on tourism and the economy, investment considerations, trends in regional travel and tourism, innovation on product service and infrastructure.
