Tourism Minister Robert Tonge says many Dominica’s confuse the sale of citizenship with sale of passports
Tourism Minister Senator Robert Tonge defends Dominica’s Citizenship by Investment Program saying many confuse the sale of citizenship with the sale of Passports.
Since its inception, the CBI program has come under scrutiny by the opposition, claiming that the Skerrit Led administration was in fact selling Dominican passports, and some to people with dubious reputations.
Tonge sys that is not the case. He claims that the government actually sells citizenships, rather than passports. He explained that a passport can be obtained through application, after an investment is made.
The CBI Program now appears to be the source of funding for several projects in the country. Tonge believes the program is a great opportunity for Dominicans, who should seize on it, in order to improve the economy.
