Trafalgar, Shawford and Fond Canie Communities receive Christmas Cheers; 2 individuals get awards

On Sunday 11th December 2016 on the Trafalgar Basketball Court, The Trafalgar/Shawford/Fond Canie Village Council, in collaboration with Hon John Collin McIntyre brought Christmas joy to the elderly and less fortunate in the communities of Trafalgar, Shawford and Fond Canie.
 
Residents of the respective communities were entertained with musical performances, and food supplies and toiletries were distributed. One senior from each community received an award for exemplary lifestyle and distinguished service. The seniors awarded were Maria Winston, Marie Harriette, and Francis Denis.
 
The Council also awarded two individuals in the community; Heskeith Hector, for outstanding community spirit, and beautification of the environment in Trafalgar; Eugenia Joseph-Blanc also received and award in appreciation of her dedicated services and outstanding achievement in the field of education for over 40 years.
