United Workers Party leader, Dr Thomson Fontaine is calling on UWP supporters to unite behind them & engage in planned initiatives to educate the Dominican people on the significance of electoral reform. He stated that Dominicans must now take a stand and declare enough is enough. He added that the party's supporters and the public at home and abroad have been pleading with the leadership to address the issue of electoral and campaign finance reforms, and as a responsible party, the UWP is asking their supporters and the Dominican public to unite behind them as they engage in a number of activities to help educate the Dominican people on the significance of electoral and campaign finance reform. In that regard, a rally is scheduled for May 31, 2023 in Roseau. Dr. Fontaine is of the view that because electoral reform is a struggle for the very essence of Dominica's democracy, it will need a determined effort from all Dominicans, including the supporters of the incumbent DLP, as well as the DFP and all other civic organizations and NGOs.
