Director of the UWI Open Campus Country Sites, Dr. Francis Severin, has described persons who participate in the electoral process without being eligible to do so as "morally corrupt".
Dr. Severin made this comment as he called for transparent reforms of the electoral system.
He called on churches to lend their voice to this issue, by applying moral suasion on governments and political parties, whom he says are inclined to rob the population of the government they truly deserve.
Dr. Severin was addressing the 11th Annual Dame Mary Eugenia Charles Memorial Lecture last Thursday, at the Fort Young Hotel.
