UWI Open Campus Dominica will host its Second Annual Emancipation Film & Discussion Activity in collaboration with the Cultural Division on Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 7:00 pm, at the UWI Auditorium. This year’s film for discussion “Forward Ever: The Killing of a Revolution” by Bruce Paddington of the UWI St. Augustine campus, is a documentary which explores the history of the Grenada revolution. According to Officer-In-Charge at UWI Open Campus, Kimone Joseph, the film blends previously unreleased footage as well as new and old interviews with some of the revolution’s key players, providing comprehensive details about the actions that shaped this unique series of events, in the Caribbean’s history and politics. She says students preparing for CSEC should pay special attention, as this film will be particularly useful to their History and Social Studies, as it touches on key themes in their syllabus. This event is free and open to the public.
