UWP calls for Electoral Commission to resign for failing to implement electoral reforms over 16 years
The United Workers Party (UWP) is calling for the Electoral Commission to resign, for failing to implement critical electoral reforms over 16 years.
Speaking at a Town Hall meeting in LaPlaine on Thursday, Senator Isaac Baptiste stated that the commission has failed to enforce its own recommendations for electoral reforms during that period.
Baptiste believes members of the commission – and especially the chairman – should tender their resignation, and allow more capable individuals to assume responsibility for implementing electoral reforms.
