UWP Senator, Dr. Thompson Fontaine, is accusing the Dominica Government of not making funds promised to the elderly under its Public Support Program available to UWP supporters.
Under the non contributory social allowance program persons 70 years and older receive $200 a month. This stipend was increased by 50 percent in July to take effect from September 1st 2016.
However, Dr. Fontaine says many persons have complained to him that they have not been benefitting from the increase. This he believes is as a result of their political preference.
