A three-day training on the use of a new diagnostic machine at the Molecular Laboratory at the Botanic Gardens concluded last week.
The training targeted officers of the Ministry of the Agriculture, namely Veterinary Services and Plant and Quarantine health.
Chief Veterinary Officer, Dr. Reginald Thomas, says the participants were chosen because of the type of work that both units do in the diagnostics of plant and animal diseases. He says the training will enhance the diagnostic capacity of both units.
