Wayne James of Dominica’s electoral commission accuses Fmr member of failing to uphold the constitution
Member of the Dominica Electoral Commission, Wayne James has accused former member of the electoral commission Mr Alick Lawrence, of failing to uphold the constitution, in allowing the prime minister to contest the 2009 general elections, while supposedly having ownership of two passports.
The Prime Minister is once again the subject of scrutiny due to conflicting statements made by senior Council Anthony Astaphan, in referral to the prime minister’s dual citizenship.
James says as a member of the Prime Minister’s legal team, in addition to being a member of the Electoral Commission, Mr Lawrence would have been privy to the very information that Mr Astaphan recently revealed to the public.
